From the album Antarctica
200 MILLION YEARS AGO
1. Two hundred million years ago, or so they say,
The earth was nothing like the world that we live in today.
Volcanoes, mud and gas and swirling lands of snow and ice.
I can tell you now, for what it’s worth that it wasn’t very nice.
Chorus: Oooh, oooh Antarctica,
Oooh, oooh Antarctica [repeat]
2. The continents of the southern earth were joined, you understand
To form a supercontinent that scientists called Gondwanaland.
25 million years ago, Antarctica broke away
To drift down to the bottom of the world, where it sits today.
Chorus x 2
